Transcribing a Consultation

Starting Recording

1. Click the Start  button
2. If prompted, grant microphone permissions
3. The recording indicator will appear
4. Real-time transcription will begin appearing as you speak

During Recording

• Transcript Updates: Text appears in real-time as you speak
• Timer: Shows elapsed recording time
• Connection Status: Displays Deepgram connection status
• Pause: Click pause to temporarily stop recording
• Doctor Notes: Add non-verbalized information anytime

Best Practices

• Speak Clearly: Enunciate clearly for best accuracy
• Minimize Noise: Reduce background noise when possible
• Use Medical Terms: The system handles medical terminology well
• Pause When Needed: Use the pause button for breaks
• Add Notes: Use Doctor Notes for important non-verbalized information

Stopping Recording

1. Click Stop Recording when finished
2. The final transcript will be captured
3. Recording duration will be calculated
4. You can now proceed to document generation
